Overview

Mapbox is an incredible platform that makes bringing spatial data to life on the web a breeze. Mapbox offers a variety of products including: Maps, Navigation, Atlas, Search, Studio, Vision, and Data. Mapbox is additionally available on the following platforms: Web, Mobile, VR, and even Auto. We obviously do not use all of these features but it is pretty cool to see the wide range of use cases that Mapbox supports. We primary use Mapbox to manage spatial data, develop web maps, and then integrate these maps into our websites and applications. For the sake of this guide, these will be broken into three main sections:

• Data Management: Using Mapbox as a GIS
• Web Maps: Using Mapbox Studio to create beautiful, interactive maps
• Website and Application Integration: Using Mapbox GL JS to integrate web maps into our tools
